The 2017 ILC (interlaboratory comparisons) program includes chemical analyses of metals and ferroalloys, physical tests (metallography, corrosion tests, determination of the roughness of a surface), tests on organic coatings (thickness, gloss, colorimetry, cross-cut, pull-off tests, aging tests), mechanical tests (Charpy impact test, Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers hardness tests, several types of tensile tests at ambient temperature or high temperature, bending test, tube flattening test), tests on concrete steels and welded mesh shear test.
Moreover, some ILC of 2015 and 2016 (CO15SS, CO16SS, TA16TU, TH16NS, G15PS, CO15PS, DT15PS, RE15PS), for which the number of potential participants is low, are continued in 2017. For these ILC, the 2017 results will be merged with the former ones to get a greater number of results, increase the accuracy of the assigned values and make the comparisons more efficient.
In addition to the assessment of the bias and repeatability, the participation to ILC organised by CompaLab provides an individual estimate the uncertainties of your test results.
At last, for participants who need their results very quickly, some "reference materials" (which properties are known through the results of former ILC) are also available for tensile tests and tests of concrete reinforcing steels.
